Toxoplasma gondii - IgG

This test is used for determiming if a patient has had previous exposure to or recent infection with a parasite, Toxoplasma gondi. Primary maternal Toxoplasma infection occurring during pregnancy can lead to severe fetal damage as the parasite can be transmitted across the placenta.
