Tips to make Tex Mex Rice:
Tex Mex Rice is simple and quick to make. Few tips to Prepare Tex Mex Rice at Home: • Ensure the brown rice is rinsed well in a good amount of water. Washing rice for 2-3 times, washes away the starch and the rice fluffs up perfectly. • Use good quality or aged brown rice for the brown rice to be tasty and not turn mushy. • Brown rice takes longer to cook. So ensure it is fully cooked, before adding to the dish. Par-boiled rice doesn’t taste good and cause stomach-ache. • Cook on medium-low heat for the flavours to permeate the brown rice properly. • For an enhanced flavour, cook in vegetable broth instead of water. • Use good quality Kashmiri rajma for a good flavour and smooth texture. • Soak the Kashmiri rajma overnight or for at least 8-9 hours. Well-soaked rajma beans take less time to cook and taste better. See the Tex Mex Rice Video and make this delicious dish
