Tired of munching on unhealthy snacks and later beating yourself up for doing so? We have a healthier alternative for you that is both tasty as well as nutritious. A quick snack for people on the go or something to munch on while you unwind during the weekend watching your favourite movie or TV show. This Spice Roasted Mixed Nuts recipe perfectly balances sweet and spice as Jaggery, Cinnamon powde ... r and Chilli flakes go into it. You can always tweak the recipe according to your taste if you like a bit more spice. An extremely easy recipe to make at home, it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. This Spice Roasted Mixed Nuts recipe shown in the video tutorial is made with Almonds, cashew nuts and peanuts but you can choose the nuts of your choice and make do with whatever you have at home. It’s a no brainer that if you are allergic to peanuts, you should refrain from using them in the recipe. You can always substitute them with something else if you wish. They can be stored in an airtight container for later use and don’t even need to be refrigerated. The addition of Rosemary to the dish gives it a distinct aromatic flavour. These nuts pair really well with your main course to give you a bit of crunch or can also be saved for snack time. Kids also like snacking on them and can give them the required amount of protein and Omega 3 fatty acids that are needed for their growing bodies.

What makes nuts so healthy?
Nuts are not only delicious but also incredibly healthy. Now, nuts are high in fat but this fat is good fat as it mainly consists of monounsaturated fat. These fats unlike saturated fats help reduce your cholesterol levels and help manage your blood sugar. They are also usually an excellent source of protein, fiber, packed with antioxidant power and loaded with minerals such as Copper, Magnesium and other minerals. They aid weight management and are often recommended to people who are following a diet. Almonds for instance, mainly contain Vitamin E and manganese and also contain trace amounts of Vitamin B2, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and copper whereas cashew is rich in vitamin B6, vitamin E, vitamin K and minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, iron, selenium, and copper.
